Seeds of Doubt (Draft completed)

The Sheriff’s name is Dick, and he is one. Deputy Christie Fairfax is pretty sure her father didn’t murder his best friend over a bunch of apples, but the Sheriff is pretty darn sure he did. It turns out the apples are worth millions, and Christie’s father inherits. Even so, Christie thinks it’s more likely the cheating wife, the angry son, or the corporate spy who did the deed… isn’t she?

Christie will have to fight the Sheriff, overcome her own tendrils of doubt, and follow the evidence wherever it leads. Even if it leads back home.
